Enjoy the best of Niagara Grape & Wine this September

Each year, locals and tourists alike flock to the beautiful Montebello Park in St. Catharines, which hosts the largest rose garden around. What you may not realize is that just before the winter kicks in, tourists and locals enjoy more than the roses. The Niagara Grape & Wine Festival is the most anticipated party of the year, and we make it easy for you to take part in the excitement.

About the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival

Throughout each year, in Niagara, you can sample some of the most savory wines and delicious food available in Canada. However, in September, the party really gets started. The city comes together and everyone celebrates the success of the grape harvesting season. There are many things to see and do in St. Catharines, and of course, sample every kind of wine that you can imagine. It is here that you will be among friends, even if you have not met them yet. This is also an event that has amassed so much popularity that it takes up two weekends.

At the centre of this event you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy watching the Grape and Wine parade which is held on the last Saturday of the festival. Be sure to arrive for the parade early in order to get a good spot. With Wheelz driving, we can help you expertly navigate the road closures!

Beyond the Festival

Although the festival hub is something we can assure you do not want to miss out on, there are also numerous wineries and vineyards you don’t want to miss either. Enjoy a Niagara wine tour during Grape & Wine weekends. Along with a Discovery Pass, you will have the opportunity to explore so much more.

For instance, you may want to check out all that Cave Spring Winery has to offer. It has been nominated by Wine and Spirits Magazine as one of the top 100 wineries of 2018. Also in 2018, it was nominated for the Wine Star Award. The category was for the title of New World Winery of the Year.

Vineland Estates Winery is also quite beautiful and very popular for people who want to get married in a scenic Niagara vineyard.

If you would prefer something a little more relaxed, you may want to consider the Hidden Bench Vineyardsor the loved by locals Ravine Vineyard. Ravine has a history that extends back more than 150 years. The house and all other parts of it are located on 34 acres of beautiful, rolling vineyards.

What People are Saying

Easy way to get from Buffalo Airport in US into Canada. They have unique outfits so they stay out when they pick you up at the airport. Very, very friendly drivers and we talked the entire time to the hotel and back to the airport later in the week. Pick up for the airport was 5am and they were there by 4:30am. If you want your travel to hotel painless, this is the way to go.
