With local delivery and curbside pick-up options available, these fine wineries, and their wines, will have you ready to go by the time the weekend hits. From Twenty Valley and the Beamsville Bench to quaint Niagara-on-the-Lake, you’ve got the Niagara Peninsula at your fingertips. So go ahead, stock up on a few of your favourite vintages!

Big Head Winery (Niagara-on-the-Lake)

Your first stop on this online wine tour is Big Head. The internet traffic looks smooth today, and we bet you can get to their store in just a few clicks! They’ve got quite a collection of photos in their gallery, so, if you’re missing the lush, vineyard views, you can get your fix by scrolling through some photos!

Don’t be intimidated by some of the pricier wines here: Big Head offers a great selection of wines at the $20 mark. The best part? A lower-priced wine still gets you an amazing vino.

2017 Big Red: This Tuesday night red can be paired with a variety of foods, and the high acidity makes it a versatile and easy-drinking option. Its dark fruit flavours and rich colour come from Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Dornfelder (which you may have never heard of before!). Priced at $21.00.

2018 Chardonnay Stainless: We know you’ll love the dry, fruit flavours in this chardonnay. With summer just around the corner, this elegant beverage is crying out for some cool, fresh salads. Priced at $22.00.

Big Head offers FREE shipping to its customers. However, you must order six or more bottles. If you have a hard time filling your cart (trust us when we say you won’t!), but live in the area, the retail store is still open for curbside pick-up and contact free checkout. Check their site for more information!

If you want to keep the magic happening week after week, check out their “InCider” club to get limited and early release ciders, recipes and other treats delivered right to your door.

Vieni Estates (Beamsville)

Transport yourself to Europe with Vieni. This Beamsville winery captures the essence of Niagara terroir using traditional Italian methods. Vieni doesn’t just make wine, either! Customers can splurge on an Italian-style grappa perfect for making your own “quarantini”. The mid-range prices make it easy to enjoy a glass of Vieni any night of the week.

2019 Novello Nouveau: This Gamay Noir offers gorgeous purple and pink tones and is ready to drink now. Vieni’s tradition is to welcome the “nouveau” wine, or first vintage, every year, and this release is no exception. You can indulge guilt-free with their case sale of this Novello Nouveau red wine. The team at Vieni recommends this wine be served chilled, which makes it ideal for serving between now and summer. Priced at $99.95/case or $10.95/bottle.

Mista Grappa: Made with fruit harvested in Niagara, Vieni’s grappa will be the perfect aperitif no matter the occasion. But don’t just stop with a shot: get creative and add some new cocktails to your repertoire by mixing grappa into specialty coffees, or try it in an espresso martini! Priced at $39.95 per bottle.

Vieni is offering FREE shipping for all customers. In the area? You can also phone in your order if you prefer curb-side pick-up. Happy tasting!

You’ll love the interactive website features, including podcasts and videos, that will help you learn more about Sue-Ann Staff’s family, history, and of course, her wines.

Fancy Farm Girl – Frivolous White 2017: This white wine is part of the Fancy Farm Girl collection of wine, which pay homage to Sue-Ann’s belief that there’s a ‘fancy farm girl’ inside of everyone! You’ll delight in the zippy acidity and citrusy minerality of this bright white. Pair with some cheese and set a virtual date with friends. Priced at $14.95.

What People are Saying

Our party of 7 had a blast on the tour. We made it to 5 wineries and 2 breweries. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and very familiar with each establishment. The tour only got better as the day went. Ended up coming home stocked with a variety of beverages.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to spend a great day with friends enjoying what Niagara has to offer.
