There is no doubt about it: Niagara is beautiful.
Whether it’s the picturesque scenery at Niagara Falls, or the pretty storefronts and historic sites in Fort Erie or Niagara-on-the-Lake, anywhere you point your camera this autumn is likely to capture colour, activity and the culture our region offers.
In Niagara Falls especially, the urge to point a camera is very strong. An estimated 14 million people visit this fair city every year, cameras and cellphones in hand, just waiting to capture the vista created by water flowing over the rocky gorge walls.
The Niagara escarpment offers plenty of places to take memorable photos, and Wheelz Niagara knows where most of these are!
When you book personalized photography tours, Wheelz drivers will collect you and up to six guests from homes or hotels in Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls, N.Y., or Buffalo, N.Y. We’ll proceed directly to historic Table Rock House, directly above the Canadian side of Niagara Falls at the Horseshoe Falls.
Photography tours continue at the Niagara Parks Commission’s Floral Showhouse, located along the Niagara River Parkway. Beautiful grounds at this time of year showcase Mother Nature’s prettiest colours: Gold, orange, yellow, red, and the dark green of the evergreen trees. Off in the distance, a plume of mist rises from the cataracts, creating artificial “clouds” that are visible from quite a ways away.
River-dwelling birds fill the skies; from starlings to seagulls, they aren’t shy about letting you know they are there! On the duck pond, you might find some pretty ducks, or even a Canada goose or two, hanging around before taking the long flight south for the winter.
Our driver will make sure you get the time you need to take great shots – but we want to make sure you go everywhere we have planned! Next up is Queen Victoria Park, with a stop at the Oakes Garden Theatre and Clifton Hill.
Take a break and ride the Skywheel, for awesome views of the surrounding hotspots. If you like, we can also take you to the Skylon Tower, where you can see even more from the top observation deck.
Our Photography Tours continue in Niagara-on-the-Lake via the Niagara River Parkway. We’ll stop at the Floral Clock; the Botanical Gardens; Queenston Heights Park; the Brock Monument, and the Queenston Gorge lookout in historic Queenston.
If you are using a digital camera, bring more than one memory card – there’s so much to see!
At the end of your tour, we’ll come back to the Canadian side of the Horseshoe Falls, for a peek at the cataracts in different lighting.
It’s a big day out, so, dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes! By the time we drop you back at your pickup address, you’ll be ready to sit down with a warm drink and review the day’s captures.
You have come to Niagara to see its wonders. Wheelz believes we are all travellers, with unique skills and varied interests … but we also think that here in Niagara, you’ll capture your perfect moment.
With just a little effort and some creativity, you'll be amazed at what you take home with you, courtesy of your camera’s viewfinder.
And those photos you took? Get ready for some compliments!

We booked a private wine tour with Viator. Our local agency was Wheelz. Our guide/driver was knowledgeable of the area. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to 7 wineries in the Niagra on the Lake area. He knew all the best wineries and offered us coupons for free tastings at some of the stops. He had a great recommendation for lunch and never rushed us through the stops. I would use Wheelz again!Happy Tourist from Wisconsin See More
