It's that time again: the days are getting shorter and crisper, and your holiday gift-list is longer than ever!
If you've been racking your brain trying to come up with the perfect present for your friend or family member who has everything, we've got you covered. For that special someone, give them an experience they'll remember fondly for years (or even turn into a yearly tradition).
A Custom Niagara Wine Tour with Wheelz is a great way to show you care. If you're lucky, they may even invite you to come along!
Where you stop is ultimately up to you, but here are some highlights of a Niagara wine tour and a few wineries we love:
This beautiful estate is the culmination of Andrew Peller's dreams. Originally from Hungary, he moved to Canada in 1927 and established his winery in the 1960s. Since then, his family has continued his tradition. They've earned several accolades for their wine, including Best Canadian Winery of the Year at London's International Wine & Spirit Competition.
This vineyard specializes in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Reisling. Their wine tour is detailed and fascinating, offering a glimpse into the inner workings of wine making.
We love all the wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake, but the Konzelmann Estate Winery is especially breathtaking for its lakefront views on Lake Ontario. Their tour and tasting includes four wines: white, red, semi-sweet, and sweet.
The Palatine Hills Land has a fascinating history: the site where the vineyard now flourishes was heavily involved in the War of 1812. To this day, the proprietors of the vineyard often find relics and artifacts of the war—and display the artifacts prominently to visitors!
This winery is unique (not only in that it's owned by Wayne Gretzky!), but it's also a distillery, crafting whisky along with wine. Made from locally-sourced grain, their Canadian whiskies are truly unique.
It's soon to be Icewine season, a time when we celebrate wine produced from grapes which have frozen on the vine. The sweet dessert wine experience is unlike any other, and is something we look forward to all year long. A local tradition and legacy, Icewine Season brings everyone together to celebrate.
In January, local wineries and businesses in Niagara-on-the-Lake come together to celebrate Icewine Season, with ongoing events in the Icewine Festival all throughout the month. Although wineries are of course a special contributor to Icewine Season, they're not the only ones who celebrate: chefs, shops, and musical entertainment abound.
Niagara has no shortage of incredible wineries offering unique experiences. In fact, with over 13,600 acres of vineyards in Niagara and over 100 wineries, it can be difficult to choose where to go. Luckily, we're familiar with the in's and out's of the Niagara region, and we'll help customize the perfect Niagara wine tour.
Our Niagara Escarpment Scenic Tour offers breathtaking scenery and unforgettable photographs, our Wine Tasting and Chocolate Tour satisfies every sweet tooth, our Niagara-on-the Lake Custom Wine Tour takes you on the beautiful Niagara Parkway, and our Taste of Niagara Tour expands to beer and spirits. With all these choices, there's definitely something for everyone on your holiday gift-giving list! Ready to cross another person off that list? Contact us today to get started.

As we head towards the end of the year, we wish you all an amazing Holiday Season full of wine, friends, family, and fun.
Used Wheelz for a transfer from Toronto to Niagara Falls on 10 July. I was impressed by the company even before we used them. Our tour in Niagara had a change of start time so I had to contact the owner Steve before we left Australia. He was busy but promised to call me back which he did. Very impressed considering he had to bear the cost of calling me on mobile in Australia. Our driver was Harold. He was on time, friendly and gave us a lot of interesting information on our trip to Niagara. Our daughter wasn’t feeling well before the trip and he was happy for her to nibble on food on the journey and was happy to stop if needed, which luckily we didn’t need. Gave us a quick tour of Niagara before dropping us off at our hotel. Very impressed by this company and would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again if we were ever in Niagara Falls again.Happy Tourist from Australia See More
